Redasoft Visual Cloning

Redasoft Visual Cloning software (
http://www.redasoft.com) is designed for
the PC to ease portraying cloning strategies. The program has a
non-cluttered and intuitive interface, is easy to use and allows a variety
of functions, all pertinent to developing highly accurate maps of DNA
sequences. The program allows creating a map with or without a DNA sequence.
The sequence may be obtained from a file, from the Web or can be copied and
pasted from a different program. Maps can be visualized in both linear and
circular formats and can be annotated with precision at the base level.
Created maps can be exported to other Windows programs, can be sent by
E-mail or can be saved as image files. The software offers tools for
aligning and arranging as well as moving and re-sizing created maps.
Textboxes can be added with ease and the text titles may be changed in font
type, size or color and specific markers can be incorporated into the map.
DNA fragments may be added or deleted as necessary and sequences can be
visualized, formatted and their complementary sequences can be shown.

One specific module allows restriction enzyme analysis on the sequences incorporated
into the program and custom enzymes may be added if the large list of
restriction enzymes, already offered by the program, does not cite the enzyme.

Another specific module offers identifying the open reading frames using a
built-in tool or using various sites on the Web. A separate module allows
designing primers and oligonucleotide probes and such probes may be ordered
directly on line.

The program also offers navigating through Web pages and specific Web sites
of interest may be added to a bookmark folder right in the program. The
company offers on line support at support@redasoft.com.

Overall, this easy to use map designing and cloning program should become an
essential tool for those who wish to embark on cloning and then wish to
display their strategies with elegant and precise maps.
